S4 Kinlochleven High School students receive employer-led interviews
Last week, DYW West Highland arranged for five, local employers to give Kinlochleven High School S4 students, a 20 minute interview where they would answer a mixture of generic and competency based interview questions to build both their confidence and interview technique. During their individual, 20 minute session, students received both verbal and written feedback so that this could be used to improve for future interviews when pupils could be looking to pursue apprenticeships, further education or jobs.
A massive thanks goes to the employers who came along:
- Debbie Fife ( IA Seminars)
- Chris Williams (Glencoe Outdoor Centre
- Callum Young (Glencoe Outdoor Activities)
- Anne Fairman (Highland Wood Energy)
- Alyson Smith (Lochaber Hope)
We hope our young students use this knowledge to continually progress and develop their future employment skills. Depute Head, Joe Hannaway remarked:
‘Thanks for organising the employers, it was a fantastic experience.’
If you are an employer who could offer support towards mock interviews in any of the secondary schools in Lochaber, Skye or Wester Ross, we would be delighted to hear from you.
