#NoWrongPath 2018, is a social media success!
We would like to express a massive thanks to everyone who shared their #NoWrongPath story and would like to congratulate all the young people who received their SQA exam results last week !
The NoWrongPath campaign had a huge response this year with participating companies including Loch Eil Outward Bound Trust, Ferguson Transport & Shipping, West Highland College, Stramash Outdoor Nursery, Liberty Aluminium, Marine Harvest, Lochaber Chamber of Commerce, Nevis Radio, MacPhee & Partners, Gary Innes from Mànran, Robertson Construction, AJ Engineering, Balfour Beatty, Inverlochy Castle, STEM Ambassadors, Great Glen Charcuterie, North Highland Events and The Freedom Hotel chain.
There is #NoWrongPath
We have all been there and felt the mixture of nerves, excitement and anxiety that can come when waiting on exam results, but it is important to remember the #NoWrongPath message that no matter the outcome of your results, there are always options that can help you to move forward in your future career!
This message was clearly emphasised by thousands of people who took to social media to share their exciting and varied career pathways and stories. It is common knowledge that many successful people did not get to where they are today by following a straight forward, traditional or obvious pathway as there really is no wrong path when it comes to achieving your career aspirations!
Although obtaining good exam grades is an excellent achievement, it is really important for young people to also bear in mind that employers also value a good work ethic, attitude and practical skills. The ability to turn up on time for work, work well as part of a team, meet tight work deadlines and prioritise a heavy workload are always qualities that are looked for by recruiting companies.
Keeping the #NoWrongPath message in mind, we therefore wish all young people who received their exam results the best of luck in achieving their future career goals!
