Mock Interview Success at Lochaber High School

DYW West Highland were pleased to help a Lochaber High School business class enhance their interview skills before the Easter holidays by arranging for a variety of employers from different work sectors to conduct a mock interview with each student. In preparation for the event, a member of our team with a wealth of HR knowledge also ran an interview hints and tips workshop with the pupils to enhance their confidence and knowledge of a typical interview process.

Each student performed very well and received highly valuable feedback from local employers in order to help them be successful at their first job interview after education. Many thanks goes to Muthu Fort William Manager Chris Vind, Emporium of Worldly Goods Owner Sasha McKinlay, Ben Nevis Distillery Manager Brian Hume and Hostelling Scotland Manager Caroline Knox for taking time out their day to pass on their knowledge and expertise to our young students!
