First Aid Course Success at Lochaber High School

Congratulations to S3 pupils from Lochaber High School who recently completed a one day Emergency First Aid at Work Course with Emergency Action Training. On completion of this course, pupils are equipped with the skills and knowledge to provide lifesaving treatments in potential situations in a prompt, safe and effective manner. Supported by DYW West Highland, 24 pupils were involved in the full day training course aimed at developing their skills for the world of work.

Commenting on the day, Emergency Action Training said:

“Developing the Young Workforce is an excellent programme and it has been a pleasure to have been able to work alongside DYW West Highland to deliver First Aid training to a group of Lochaber High School students. Every one of them worked hard and deserved their certificates. Lochaber High School is a wonderful learning environment and for them to look at giving students the opportunity to gain life skills before entering the workforce should be commended. If every secondary school allowed their students to take a First Aid course it would create a country of life savers in a very short time.”
