Credit where credit is due!

We would like to wish our Programme Coordinator, Lesley Hellon a huge congratulations for being highly commended by the Highlands and Island’s University students. As a result, Lesley has been nominated for the ‘Best Engagement with Students and Staff Category’ of the HISA Awards 2018.

The HISA (Highlands and Islands Student Association) awards are a fantastic opportunity for students to thank staff members and fellow students who have helped and inspired them. Academic and support staff as well as students can be nominated for an award as recognition of their ability to help others.

Lesley Hellon, who also works part time as a student Liaison Officer at the West Highland College, Portree Learning Centre is according to her students, a person who is always happy to help you out and will answer any questions that she is equipped to. It is thanks to people like Lesley that young people are able to receive the guidance and voice needed to steer them towards positive life destinations.

Well done from all of your colleagues!
